Southern Curl Policies

Thank you for your interest in Southern Curl Inc. To move forward with the booking process, we ask for you to please read our salon policies and agree to follow them by signing below. Before you call or text the salon:

– Include Clear front & back photos of your hair in natural lighting. PLEASE have someone take the photos for you so we can see your hair in its entirety. – An inspiration photo or 2 from the @Southerncurlatl Instagram or Facebook page only. This ensures you like our style of cutting and is a real photo as opposed to manipulated curls/ lighting…. – Provide a credit card deposit to secure your appointment SOUTHERN CURL INC. POLICIES:

Policy 1: No Refunds 

We do not offer refunds of any kind.

Products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase. Please note- if you are new to the natural curl lifestyle, it may take a couple of months for your curls to detox from previous use of silicones and sulfates. We ask that you trust the process and only use the recommended products that your curl specialist prescribed for your curls. The journey to healthy hydrated curls requires patience and a curl-specific routine. Please trust the process.

Cuts or Colors that need editing must notify the salon within 7 days of service to receive any edits.

Policy 2: Cancellations

Your appointments are very important to us at Southern Curl Inc. Appointments are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore we respectfully require a 48-hour notice for any schedule changes or cancellations.  All booked services receive reminders two weeks, one week, five days out, and three days before the scheduled appointment- PLEASE confirm by typing a reply to your reminder confirmation.

If you cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance you will be charged 50% of the cost of the scheduled service(s). Same-day cancellations will be charged 100% of the cost of the scheduled service(s).  Should this happen more than once, it will prohibit you from scheduling future appointments with Southern Curl Inc.

Should you require to be rebooked due to not following the “How To Arrive” instructions, you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of the scheduled services from your original appointment.

Policy 3: No Calls/No Shows

If you confirm and you do not contact us via call or text (404-352-2875) to cancel or reschedule and do not show up on the scheduled date and time of your appointment you will be charged 100% of the cost of the scheduled service.

Policy 4: Lateness- Car Trouble/Stuck in Traffic

Here at Southern Curl we ask that all clients try to arrive at the salon 15 minutes before their scheduled time. We have a 15-minute late policy. If you are running late, please call or text to let us know (404-352-2875). Should you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may have to forfeit your appointment and you will be charged 100% of the cost of the scheduled service. Should this happen more than once, it will prohibit you from scheduling future services at Southern Curl Inc. As always, we will do our best to accommodate you however, we will charge a $75 “Squeeze Fee” to your credit card on file as we have to rearrange things on our end to accommodate your service.

Policy 5: Unconfirmed Appointments

BEGINNING DECEMBER 1st, 2020- If we do not receive a reply to the email/text reminder at least 48 hours in advance, your appointment is removed from the schedule and you will receive a cancellation email. All we ask is for the courtesy of a cancellation. If you decide you do not need a part of the service you are booked for, you must also give notice 48 hours in advance as we need to remove the service from your appointment and open it up to another client or you will be 100% responsible for the services you committed to. Confirmation emails, text, and manual text are sent 7, 5, and 3 days before the booked appointment. All unconfirmed appointments are canceled 48 hours before the requested date. (We keep a log that shows if the text or email was received or if it bounces for your reference if needed).

Policy 6: Credit Card Required

Keeping a credit card on file is required to schedule an appointment. We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. If 48 hours notice is not given for a cancellation or reschedule, Southern Curl Inc. reserves the right to and will charge the credit card on file for 100% or the scheduled service(s). We also require a 50% deposit on all services valued at $250 or more.

Policy 7: Confirmation Text/Email/Call

As a courtesy, you will reserve a confirmation text/email/call (*you must opt in when we schedule your first appt*) 7, 5, and 3 days prior to your scheduled services that will require you to reply. If you do not confirm or reply by the 48 hour window, your appointment will be canceled. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time to avoid a late arrival, a missed/cancelled appointment and/or a cancellation fee. If you confirm and then cancel within the 48 hour window, you will be responsible for the late cancellation or same day cancellation fees.

Policy 8: No Additional Guests or Children

For the safety and comfort of our guests and sanitation of our salon, Southern Curl Inc. does not allow children or additional guests without an appointment at the salon. We do not see children under the age of 16. Any minor between the ages of 16-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the appointment time of said minor.

Policy 9: Refusing Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Lastly, please make sure that your phone number and email information is up to date with the front desk and that you have opted in for our software text messaging service.This will ensure that your appointments are not removed from the schedule, or you do not have a late or no-show fee attached to your service bill.
